Walter Chazin named Biophysical Society Fellow

Center for Structural Biology Director Walter Chazin, Ph.D., has been named as a 2016 Society Fellow of the Biophysical Society. The award honors the Society’s distinguished members who have demonstrated sustained scientific excellence.

Dr. Chazin, professor of Biochemistry, is recognized for his pioneering work using NMR and other biophysical techniques to relate the structure and dynamics of proteins to their biological function in processes ranging from calcium sensing to DNA repair.

He and the eight other Fellows named this year will be honored at the Award Ceremony during the Biophysical Society’s 60th Annual Meeting on February 29, 2016 in Los Angeles.
